Sant’Agata Feltria
This wonderful town dates back to the pre-Roman Era. The tale tells that in 600 A.D part of the rock of mount Ercole broke from the rest and a church dedicated to Sant’Agata was built on it. The noble family of Fregoso enriched the city with several buildings of great artistic value such as the Palazzone which dates back to the XVII century which is now the seat of the Theater Angelo Mariani, entirely built in wood.
All the surrounding area is characterized by a spiritual soul thank to its numerous sacred sites and cloisters which were constructed throughout the centuries. Not to be missed is, without a doubt, the picturesque fortified village of Petrella Guidi. Every year in October the local festival dedicated to the white truffle takes place there on Sundays.
